About The Open Door Church

The Open Door Church, Khojewala, located in Kapurthala district of Punjab, India, traces its origins to the late 1980s. Ministry activities that later led to the establishment of the church were initiated in 1989 by Bishop Dr. Sant Harbhajan Singh, a native of Khojewala.

In 1991, the formal establishment of the church took place. Over time, it developed as a local center for Christian worship and community gatherings. In 1996, a formal management committee was constituted to oversee administrative and organizational functions.

As attendance increased, the church infrastructure was expanded, including the construction of an approximately 8,500 square foot hall, followed by an additional expansion of around 7,500 square feet in 2012. Ongoing discussions have focused on the development of a larger church complex to accommodate future needs.
